Habit Tracker

Tick off daily habits, build streaks, and watch your progress grow.

No habits yet.

Add your first habit above to start tracking. Your data is saved in this browser automatically.

Click a day cell to mark it done or undo it. The streak counts consecutive completed days ending today (or yesterday if today is not done yet). Data is stored in your browser's local storage and never sent anywhere.

What is the Habit Tracker?

The Habit Tracker is a free online tool that helps you build consistency with a simple weekly grid. Add any habit — reading, exercise, prayer, studying, drinking water — and tap each day's cell when you complete it. The tracker shows your current streak (consecutive completed days), a progress bar for the last 7 days, and keeps everything saved in your browser's local storage, so your data is private and survives page refreshes.

How to use it

Tips for building habits

Start with two or three small habits rather than ten big ones — a 5-minute habit you do daily beats an ambitious one you skip. Use the 7-day progress bar to spot weak days, and try not to break the chain: missing once is fine, missing twice in a row is what kills a streak. Because everything is stored locally in your browser, your habits do not sync between devices; treat this as your personal daily scorecard on the device you use most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my habit data saved?
In your browser's local storage under the key 'ht-habits-v1'. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so your data is private — but it also means it will not sync to other devices and will be lost if you clear site data.
How is the streak calculated?
The streak counts consecutive days with a completed check, ending today. If you have not checked today yet, it counts back from yesterday instead, so your streak is not unfairly reset in the morning.
Can I mark past days I forgot to check?
Yes. The grid covers the last 7 days ending today, and you can click any cell in that range to mark it done or undo it.
Is there a limit on the number of habits?
No fixed limit, but the table stays most readable with a handful of habits. Browser local storage is small, so very large histories are not recommended.
Will my habits still be there tomorrow?
Yes, as long as you use the same browser and do not clear site data. The grid always shows the last 7 days ending on the current day.
